看了这片又去回看mary halvorson, julian lage和miles okazaki的对谈。julian说有次接到一个不认识的电话，第一句问 what's the first chord of all the things you are, 他愣了愣回F minor，然后对面说，正确！我是Jim Hall。太逗了。总之是个可爱包容的老头，and he's got one of the greatest jazz guitar tones！ 片中有句话印象深刻，jimmy giuffre说a trio should be seen as a mobile so that you'd see a different facet as the wind blows。
这部记录片的画面真是太美了，每一帧都可以截图当壁纸。导演和摄影师在光影的运用上达到了极致，无论是自然光的柔和还是人造光的戏剧性，都被运用得恰到好处。色调的选择也非常讲究，冷暖色调的对比不仅好看，更在叙事上起到了情绪引导的作用。特别是几场夜景戏，暗部细节保留得非常完整，没有死黑也没有过曝，这种技术水准让人不得不佩服制作团队的专业程度。
说真的，进电影院之前我连预告片都没看，就纯属周末无聊随便买的票。结果没想到捡到宝了！从头到尾没有任何一个地方让我想掏出手机，这在近两年的观影经历里可以说是相当罕见了。节奏把控得刚刚好，不会让人觉得拖，也不会快得让你跟不上。演员Jim Hall,Bill Evans,Art Farmer,Pat Metheny,Sonny Rollins也都挺在线，没有那种让人出戏的尴尬表演。就冲这份惊喜感，我觉得已经值回票价了。
结局令人满意，所有的线索都得到了合理的收束，没有烂尾。
虽然有不成熟的地方，但能看到创作者的诚意和用心，值得鼓励。
